TRAITOR!
I've often wondered and thought alot about Judas, asking questions such as Did Jesus know that when he caleed Judas that he would be the one to betray him and if so it had to of have been hard knowing throughout his ministry that this man would be the one to become the traitor. Is it possible that Jesus might have hinted at anytime before the last few moments of his death to Judas that he would be the one to betray him and what grew to make Judas finally make the final decision to say i am going to betray this man even though he has seen all of the miraculous things he has done. The whole idea of how Judas betrayed Jesus brings alot of questions to my mind and leads me to really think even though, if would have been there, would I have been the one to betray, what really pushed Judas to that final breaking point and would we break as well?

Those are some good questions. I had never really thought deeply about it until class on Monday. I do think that Jesus knew all along that Judas would betray him. I don't think Judas knew all along though. I think Judas abandoned the faith for money. Of course, that's just speculation and I'm not positive about that, it's just what I think. It's interesting that even though Jesus knew Judas would betray Him, He still chose him as a disciple, knowing that He had to go through the crucifixion.
Jesus knew the way to glory lead to the cross. This is exemplified in the agony that he experienced in the garden. Father, lets go with plan B, plan A is to hard, but nervertheless if you say so Father plan A it is. Imagine for a moment this scence that involves the One who with a stry thought could of ended the whole ordeal yet he willing laid down his life for us. To foten we betray Jesus by not doing the same for him.
I am not sure it has to be that dramatic.Think about it. Who is your best friend or maybe pastor now imagine turning that person over to be killed. I do not think very many normal people would even think about betraying someone who loves them for some money. There was something like an evil anointing on Judas to be capable of such a thing. I believe there is a whole world of difference between Peter denying Christ out of fear/embarassment and Judas flat turning Him over to be killed for money.
